Very inspirational book。 I read it in one day。 I loved reading about Los and Lex’s personal stories and how God brought them together。 Even though they are a Hollywood couple they have been through plenty of trials and not all glamor。 It’s wonderful to see their love for The Lord and how they put him first in their lives。 They are raising their children with Christian values and love。

Book 79 of 2022I will be the first to admit I didn't know much about Carlos and Alexa -- sadly， I wasn't into Big Time Rush， nor did I see Spy Kids。 My biggest knowledge of Alexa was all the movie roles she took when she was much younger， like Little Giants， Ghosts of Mississippi （one of my favorites） and Deep End of the Ocean。 BUT then in Fall 2015 I fell in love with both of them on Dancing with the Stars。 I loved how they spoke openly and honestly about their marriage and faith， and then Carl Book 79 of 2022I will be the first to admit I didn't know much about Carlos and Alexa -- sadly， I wasn't into Big Time Rush， nor did I see Spy Kids。 My biggest knowledge of Alexa was all the movie roles she took when she was much younger， like Little Giants， Ghosts of Mississippi （one of my favorites） and Deep End of the Ocean。 BUT then in Fall 2015 I fell in love with both of them on Dancing with the Stars。 I loved how they spoke openly and honestly about their marriage and faith， and then Carlos shared his testimony。 I cannot watch his dance to Amazing Grace without a tear in my eye。Since then I have followed them on social media， and come to appreciate their positivity and candor。 I was excited to read this book， but I will say that I was surprised at what I got。 It is a fine line in writing about your faith， because you want to be honest about struggles， excited about the joys， candid about your missteps yet grateful to the Savior who changed it all。 Carlos and Alexa walked this line perfectly。 They both shared very deep and personal things， and they were candid in their struggles。 They brought it all back to the Father who made them and supported them， saved them and loved them -- they did it in a way that wasn't preachy or judgemental but plain and honest。 I applaud the time it much have taken to shape their words and choose the tone they wanted to share in this book。 Towards the end of this book， they share that they want to love others， share their story and be an example of Christ。 For me， this book was all of that。 They were great ambassadors of the faith and as someone who shares that faith， it was an encouragement to read。 I always appreciate hearing someone's testimony and how God has been working in their lives， and this was one BIG testimony。As a bonus， they narrated the audiobook themselves which made it even MORE personal， and I was a big fan。 I felt like I was right there with them， at home， having a conversation about the ways that the Lord has worked and moved and man， that is some powerful stuff。 Kudos to them both。 Rating -- five starsFormat -- audiobook 。。。more

Knowing Carlos and PenaVega were a young， Christian Hollywood couple who are parents， I was excited to read their book， What If Love Is the Point。 It's an easy-to-read book that I found hard to put down and read it in a few hours。 From page one， I was given a front row seat into the lives as Carlos and Alexa as they told their story。 Throughout the book， each one takes a turn in writing their chapter and the last chapter is written together。 Through the book， you learn of their background as sin Knowing Carlos and PenaVega were a young， Christian Hollywood couple who are parents， I was excited to read their book， What If Love Is the Point。 It's an easy-to-read book that I found hard to put down and read it in a few hours。 From page one， I was given a front row seat into the lives as Carlos and Alexa as they told their story。 Throughout the book， each one takes a turn in writing their chapter and the last chapter is written together。 Through the book， you learn of their background as singles， how they came to work in Hollywood， and in the music industry， how they overcame challenges of an eating disorder， broken relationships， and learn how their faith journey began。 Los and Lex share how they met， dated， married and how their faith grew。 As a married couple， they share how they balance each other， and how they lean on their faith。 What makes them real is their honesty， raw and unedited; it is what makes them relatable。 As parents， Los and Lex share how they are raising their children to not just love God， but be kingdom builders and give examples that we can all do， not just as kids。 As they tell their story， I was immersed in their highs and lows and cheered for them as they shared how God became real in their life， how He performed miracles for them， and what He is still teaching them。 Their ups and downs are what I could relate to most of all and made them seem more down to earth。 I thought the last chapter especially highlighted the book's theme of love。 Carlos and Alexa share a list "Because love is the point，。。。" and then expound on how they use it in their life and invite us too also。 These points are so good， I want them as magnets on my refrigerator as a reminder of how my life can be fulfilled， have peace， a purpose and help my faith grow！ This book can be read over and over again as their is much to absorb and treasure。 I was blessed to read their book and get to "know them" and appreciate where they started in their journey and where they are now - and I don't just mean living in HI！ This book will appeal to Christians， but also to anyone wanting to read a good love story。 I appreciate how the book made me examine what is important to me and what points I may want to reconsider。 。。。more

Powerful， vulnerable， and genuine。 I do not read a lot of non-fiction nor do I necessarily consider myself to be religious。 I did not know what to expect when I started What if Love is the Point， but I was blown away by the heartfelt testimony from Carlos and Alexa。 They’re honest， open， and silly about all aspects of their pasts， their relationship， parenting， and their faith。 I am still processing it’s contents but I will probably read this again。

What a cute and uplifting book about two Hollywood actors’ commitment to Jesus and to one another with courage and confidence。 I loved Spy Kids as a kid， so it’s really neat to see a child star like Alexa Vega to have such a stable head on her shoulders as an adult！ It was a simple book that got me reflecting on my own marriage and Christian values and recommitting to that intentional Christlike living and mindfulness that I want to reflect…because love is the point！

I have loved these two for a long time！ And this book made me love them even more。 This book has inspired me so much about my faith and opening up my heart to God。 I am forever grateful for this book！I listened to the audiobook for this and it was the best way to read this！ You can really hear the personalities shine through and I had a smile on my face the entire time。 I highly recommend downloading the audiobook for this one if you haven’t already❤️❤️❤️❤️
